Frank Sinatra's voice is like a warm embrace in the midst of this refined yet com- fortable space, bathed in warm, flattering light and cool tones of pale green and deep orange — a space inspired, Wynn notes, by the colors of southern Tuscany. "Sinatra's my favorite spot, my A location, for obvious reasons," he says of the Encore restaurant, an homage to a legend 26 WYNN whom Wynn also had the great fortune to call his friend. "It's a bit quieter, and the chef, Theo Schoenegger, is a fabulous guy. It just has a vibe and menu I love: a real cool, upscale, East Side New York Italian restaurant—the kind of place where Frank would have loved to eat." Nestled in a corner of Encore near the resort's Tower Suites entrance, Sinatra may be the excep- tion to Wynn's high-energy philosophy; for this particular restaurant, that suits him just fine. "Sinatra is where you go when you're seeking a quiet, elegant evening, while other restaurants are sought-after because of their adjacency to our nightclubs," he explains. "Guests love Botero because they want to combine it with a night at XS, and it's the same with Switch next to Surrender. Those high-energy adjacencies have proven to be extremely successful."
