ALL ACCESS WYNN-TER WONDERLAND Ring in the holidays in style. BY ROBERT HAYNES-PETERSON CUFF LUCK Charriol USA recently launched the stylish Gentleman's Collection, featuring signature nautical cabling details in yellow, bronze, black, and stainless steel, with 18k yellow-gold accents, perfect for the soirées, fine dining, and quiet, Scotchdrinking moments the holidays bring. "The cuff links exemplify the essence of our Gentleman's Collection," says Tal Zemer, vice president and codesigner of the collection. "We wanted to stay away from skulls and heavy adornments in favor of both a classic and everyday look." One of three styles, these links ($250) play two rows of black stainless steel off silver and gold for a festive yet streamlined look. Tiny Baubles, 702-770-3559 BLACK-TIE AFFAIR If the tux is at the cleaners but you still wish to impart an over-the-top decadence, light up The Black Tie by London Cut Cigars, featuring fine Dominican filler and binder in a Connecticut shade wrapper and finished with hand-rolled, edible 24k gold leaf ($975 per cigar). Even the long ashes (two to three inches) sparkle with gold. By special order at The Drugstore at Wynn, 702-770-3535 MAKE A DATE Some items are written off all too quickly as not-for-men. And okay, guys may never understand why the world needs so many pillows, but the bond between man and fire has not been overlooked by Penhaligon's. Hence the London-based perfumery's man-caveworthy Maduro Leaf Triple Wick Candle ($120). Not one, but three mini flames fill your den/study/garage with the scent of cigar, oak, and cedarwood, evoking fireplaces, leather chairs, and whiskey-soaked stories of adventure. Wynn Apothecary, 702-770-3537 FEELING PUNCHY Originally consisting of five ingredients (spirit, sugar, citrus juice, water, and spice), punch was high society's favorite party drink well into the late 18th century. "The earliest punches were enjoyed by British sailors in India in the 1600s," says Wynn/Encore master mixologist Patricia Richards. Richards's homage, the five-ingredient Mai Chai cocktail (served at Parasol), is a spicy, strong, and soothing remedy to cooler weather and frayed holiday nerves. The recipe below could easily be expanded to fill a bowl and sate many thirsty souls. MAI CHAI 1 1⁄2 oz. House-made chai-infused Disaronno Amaretto 1 1⁄4 oz. Amrut Fusion Indian Single Malt Whiskey 1 oz. fresh-squeezed and strained lemon juice 4 ⁄5 oz. agave syrup Dash Angostura bitters 40 Combine ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with orange peel, expressed over cocktail so the orange oils are incorporated. PHOTOGRAPHY BY JEFF GREEN (COCKTAIL) FLAME ON! The Mayan calendar may have finally run out, but ours is still going strong. Rather than clumsily scrolling through your phone's app menu, check time, day, and date in style with the latest interpretation of the Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 5960 ($79,800). With a selfwinding mechanical movement, the chronograph features 60-minute and 12-hour functions on a single counter at six o'clock, and fully framed apertures for day, date, and month. The watch is presented in a rose-gold case, with a hand-stitched alligator strap and a white or black opaline dial. Water resistant to 30 meters.
