WHITE-GLOVE WEDDING History plus elegance equals tradition at the langham hotel. 144  bostoncommon-magazine.com photography courtesy of the langham boston A Boston institution, The Langham Hotel imbues every wedding with European opulence. A wedding at Boston's historic Langham Hotel is so much more than a place to say your "I dos" or have a first dance: It's a way to invoke tradition. The hotel, which was originally constructed as a Federal Reserve Bank in 1922, prides itself on its "white-glove" service, says social catering sales manager Samantha Rivera, focusing on "small touches" that help set The Langham apart. Such as: refined, French- style table service; a dedicated wedding coordinator who'll be with you every step of the way; award-winning menus constructed by the hotel's tenured executive chef; and the added bonus of being able to host both your ceremony and reception— and your out-of-town guests—in a five-star setting. "We take a lot of pride in our service, and in those classic twists that other hotels in the area might not offer," says Rivera. The location, of course, is a plus: The hotel overlooks another historic landmark in Boston, Post Office Square, which houses a park that Samantha says is "just perfect" for warmer- weather photo opportunities. For those seeking to sidestep tradition, Bond Nightclub, also on site, offers late-night revelers a chance to keep the party going until the wee hours. 250 Franklin St., 617-451- 1900; langhamhotels.com .
