This spring, Nicole Hanley takes her cue from Cuba to bring island color to Boston. PHOTOGRAPHY BY EUGENE GOLOGURSKY/WIREIMAGE SOCIETY DARLING NICOLE HANLEY BRINGS HAVANA NIGHTS TO BOSTON. Chartreuse, brick, and mahogany are not colors you'd imagine hitting it off; in Nicole Hanley's world, they're attached at the hip. Following a trip to Havana, the fashion designer un- veiled her spring line of bold silhouettes bursting with pops of color. "We were so inspired by Cuba. We spoke with many artists, and this collection echoes those conversations," says Hanley, 39. "Each one of our seasons is grounded by a visit to a special destination." It's only Hanley's third season, but she is already touted as the next Tory Burch, landing a major partnership with Bloom- ingdale's and opening her first boutique in New York. Her look has already caught like wildfire in Boston. At Bloomingdale's in Chestnut Hill, her last collection (inspired by Antwerp) sold out within weeks. Now, she'll host a meet-and-greet on February 27 to introduce the new, spring line to town, saying, "We can't wait to meet more of our Boston customers!"
