WOW! one penthouse weren't enough, a real-life king is scooping up two top-tier, rooftop condos at the new Four Seasons Hotel Boston. Since the chi-chi Dalton Street property will not be complete until 2017, said king can customize the space to his extrava- gant liking. The 60-story building will be the highest in Boston and will offer two restau- rants, two lounges, and a health club and spa—oh, and cost $700 million to build. The double penthouse sale ought to brighten up the balance sheet a tad. bigwig Boston restaurateurs are taking their secret sauce recipe for success out west. As in out West. As in La La Land. The first culinary mogul already has seven national locations under his belt as well as an expansive frozen food business. The second gastronomic guru boasts six locations in Greater Boston. Both of these restaurant czars are revered for attracting Super Bowl heroes and TV personalities as well as Harvard professors as regulars. Their guest list is sure to grow bigger (and even more famous) in Tinseltown. Two la vie... Rive Gauche! The subject of several documentaries, this designer counted gaggles of the silver screen's most legendary glamazons as his muses: Loulou de la Falaise, Betty Catroux, Laetitia Casta, Marisa Berenson, Paloma Picasso, Catherine Deneuve. Now his Left Bank fashions are headed to Boston in the form of a wildly ornate and embellished boutique in an oh-so-posh space in the Back Bay. As if This brilliant entrepreneur sold his biotech company for gazillions of dollars, and how did he celebrate? Not by buying a swanky second house. Not by racking up an outlandish tab at his country club. No, this gentleman shared the wealth by walking miles and miles all around the city and handing out generously credited supermarket gift cards to every homeless person he saw. Now that's a star. How lucky cAn you geT? This is surely the question this gorgeous, literary Back Bay scribe must have asked herself. Her frst book, based on her royal Middle eastern heritage, landed a big-name publisher. Then, Hollywood came knocking with a ferce movie rights contract and an A-list director. word is that carrie Mulligan is up for the starring role… but so is the hotshot author herself, who auditioned as well. does not begin to describe this passionate hotel concierge. Just out of college and a few months on the job, she's booked a private plane to take off within an hour of the assignment—and had it flled with hundreds of long- stemmed roses and a case of Veuve clicquot. she scored day-of front row tickets to the much-sought-after Hamilton musical on nyc's Broadway for a master of the universe who also politely asked for (and got, natch) a top-of-the-line stretch limo for the round-trip excursion. lastly, she managed to wrangle a chimp as a special sur- prise for a fve-year-old's birthday party. needless to say, her veteran colleagues are green with envy. superhero 144  bostoncommon-magazine.com social intel
