Albert Kriemler revels in every detail of Akris's posh Newbury Street boutique: the glass elevator, the trapezoidal side table, the bleached amber-wood cabinetry. The spacious, three-story space is structurally complex, and, for Kriemler, the fashion house's creative director and the grandson of Akris founder Alice Kriemler- Schoch, it's also architecturally inspiring. "I love architecture," says Kriemler, 55. "It tells a story. All of my boutiques tell a story." At the newly renovated Boston boutique—which relocated from literally across the street—Akris customers can expect a ground floor devoted entirely to accessories. From there, the glass elevator escorts guests to floors dedicated to both the trousers, dresses, and print jackets from Akris' Punto offerings, as well as the full Spring collection from the namesake line.
