InvIted Freddie Jackson black creativity gala Shari Runner and Gale Foster Farley The Museum of Science and Industry honored the cultural and scientific contributions of African-Americans with its annual Black Creativity gala on January 28. The black-tie event, emceed by NBC anchor Marion Brooks, entertained guests with the bewitching music of Maurice Mahon and the New Face of Soul and Grammy-nominated artist Freddie Jackson. James Goeke, and Lynne Bredfeldt Jessica Zweig, Frank Clark and Marion Brooks Chicago's restaurant community turned out to the Fairmont Chicago Hotel to honor some of its esteemed peers. Chef Jean Banchet gave out his eponymous awards to such culinary luminaries as Guiseppe Tentori, Amanda Rockman, and Dave Beran. Guests participated in a live auction and marveled at a heated cook-off with Top Chef contestants Sarah Grueneberg and Beverly Kim.
