hen it comes to salad supplies, Produce Express is in a league of its own. Owner Peter Jeffrey is a fourth-generation farmer, and he and his family run eight main farms in the Chicagoland area to grow the freshest fruits and vegetables around; they also sell herbs for extra pops of flavor, like piney rosemary. "We've been providing fresh produce my whole life," Jeffrey says. "The market is a way of bringing those fresh products to downtown customers."
