Less scene-y than other hotel rooftop spots, this 29th-floor lounge of the Affinia Chicago hotel still feels like a secret hideaway. 166 E. Pass through dramatic arched doors to hit the two rooftop oases—one features lounge seating and small bites; the other sports cooking grills and a more casual ambiance. Seating is hard to come by, so reservations are highly recom- mended. Is there anything special to look for this summer? [we have] a special booth named the octagon that seats eight to 12 people, and we do bottle service and platters of food. it's the best location at the terrace: it faces navy Pier and has the best views.
