Joan Weinstein of Ultimo carried her many years ago, and I've collected her pieces literally since the beginning. I used to wear her little dangle earrings, and I thought I was the coolest thing on the planet—they were so tiny you could barely see them, but that's what I loved, because at the time it was all about really giant jewelry from Dominique Aurientis and the like. Gabriella Kiss came into the picture designing these extraordinary, dainty little drop earrings and necklaces that were so refined and so elegant and made of the finest little stones. Fast-forward to many years later; I am now carrying her in my store, and I am absolutely as in love with her today as I was years ago. She has these amazing stone drop earrings or little studs, but her collection has also grown to include more organic, still-life kinds of images—like unbelievable earrings that are made of hands with a pearl hanging from the tip of the index finger; or a head with an earring hanging from it (SHOWN); or a beautiful snake that wraps around as a pin encrusted in diamonds.
