FROM THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF At our dinner at Gibsons to kick off Wade's World Weekend with dapper gents Dwyane Wade and Dan Uslan. That's why putting together our annual Men's Issue is always so satisfying. More than any other issue of Michigan Avenue, it gives us the opportunity to focus on the inspiring men who make up this town and are accomplishing such great things across all industries. Men like legendary anchorman Bill Kurtis, whose golden voice is immediately recognizable and who shares with us the compelling story of his passion for military service. Like rising star Executive Chef Anthony Martin, who has brought Streeterville fine-dining destination Tru back into the headlines with his stunningly imaginative cuisine. And like the stars of our "Kings of Nightlife" feature, gentlemen who make parties happen every night at the best after-dark destinations in town. And who better to grace the Follow me on Twitter cover of our Men's Issue than @JP_Anderson and at the endlessly talented Mandy michiganavemag.com. Patinkin? In a wonderful conversation I had with Patinkin about his Chicago roots, I was struck by just how passionate he still is about this great city, and his conviction that growing up here made him who he is today—yes, an incredible talent of stage and screen, but first and foremost a devoted father and husband. Now that's what I call a real Chicago man.
