The event raised funds and awareness for the organization, which has put the call out for male volunteers to become Big Brothers. This year the event grossed more than $1.4 million, with $100,000 raised on-site. Nearly 600 people attended the event, including emcee Lenny Clarke, restaurateurs Angela and Seth Raynor, and Justin Willman. The event raised $200,000 for breast cancer patient and family support services. More than 350 guests enjoyed the Academy Awards on giant screens, gourmet chef stations, and the Hood Premiere Pairings demo by chef Jason Santos. Special guests included event hosts Kelley Tuthill, Susan Wornick, and Dorothy Krysiuk of WCVB-TV, longtime supporter Ernie Boch Jr., actor Malik Yoba, Chris and Peyton Lambton, and Chris Byers of New England Studios.
