Gala chairs and hosts Dina Selkoe and actor Zachary Quinto, who recently starred in the A.R.T. production of The Glass Menagerie, welcomed the large crowd. During the dinner by MAX Ultimate Foods, the Robert Brustein Award was presented to renowned Shakespearean actor and A.R.T. alum John Douglas Thompson. Education reform leader and founding headmaster of Boston Arts Academy Linda Nathan received the A.R.T. Angel Award, and there was also a special tribute to A.R.T. Board Chairman Donald Ware. The highlight of the evening was a stunning performance by Swiss balancing goddess Lara Jacobs Rigolo, one of the stars of the Cirque du Soleil production Amaluna, directed by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus. The Kyle Miles Band played during the VIP reception, and DJ Rx provided music after the live auction, which was hosted by Julie Sutera from Harvard Auctioneers. Jamn 94.5's DJ Mavrick emceed the event, and lawyer Wendell Taylor, from WilmerHale, and Patrick Chung made speeches. The event was catered by Sky Restaurant. 4/10/13 12:53 PM
