In planning this issue, I learned that New England has its own deadliest catch in the form of sea urchin diving, with the stakes rising as fish stocks decline. I also learned which Boston chefs work with the prized ingredient, so we can all support the local industry. The Berkeley Street edifice that's long been called, in popular parlance, the Louis Boston building finally has a new name: RH Boston, The Gallery at the Historic Museum of Natural History. So many things about this building were uncovered as the Restoration Hardware team peeled back the walls and the years. Many of us already knew that it once housed Bonwit Teller—friends related tales of shopping there for their first bikinis. But few of us realized it was the second public building built in all of Back Bay, after the Arlington Street Church. There are many other discoveries in this issue—from the emergence of orange wines to the incredible Follow me on Facebook at new restaurants popping up in Facebook.com/boston-common and on the suburbs to the many new bostoncommon-magazine.com. faces and stars. Happily we've gotten to know these Bostonians—like Krista Ference and Kim Todd—at some of the city's recent bashes, such as Saks's Jimmy Choo event and what might have been the most well-attended soirée of the millennium: the opening of RH's new Gallery space. We welcomed newcomers like Evan Zall and Chris Clair as well as familiar faces at the celebration of our Spring issue with the New England–raised star of Girls, the gracious and lovely Allison Williams.
