This event honored Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits with the ADL Americanism Award, Ardi Najmnabadi, Larry Smith, Lieutenant Sasha Larkin of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and Shayna Barton, a senior at Desert Oasis High School. ADL was honored to have guest speaker Khizr Khan there to honor the life of his son, American soldier, Humayun Khan, who died in combat. THE CENTER HONORARIUM The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada hosted its 22nd annual Honorarium at The Chelsea inside Cosmopolitan. The fundraiser honors the city's LGBTQ community's most dedicated leaders, volunteers, and financial supporters. This year, The Center honored Person of the Year Matthew Frazier, Allies of the Year Robin and Danny Greenspun, and Corporation of the Year Cox Communications for their ongoing support. Comedian Margaret Cho was also honored with the Qmmunity Advocate of the Year award and performed a special show opened by transgender actor/comedian Ian Harvie. VEGASMAGAZINE.COM 41
