Why build The Park Theater? "We're in an extremely competitive market. And we didn't have a proper midsize theater. It gives artists a chance to be more creative than on a normal tour. The theater is the first part of the rebranding of the Monte Carlo hotel, which will eventually be Park MGM." How did you lure away Bruno Mars from the Cosmopolitan? "It wasn't that difficult. It's about merging Bruno Mars's brand with MGM Resorts' brand [and] trying to create something bigger than just a residency. Hopefully this is just the beginning of many things to come with Bruno." Tell us Cher will stay. "Her last residency at Caesars was in the middle of the recession and her numbers were still outstanding. You really can't go wrong with Cher. There's no downside." CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT: Sting's show at Cosmopolitan will be one for the record books; Maroon 5's NYE show at MGM Grand Garden Arena turns 5 this year; expect full regalia for Cher's run at The Park Theater; Stevie Nicks twirls in to open The Park Theater with special guests The Pretenders.
