STYLE FILE THE ITALIAN JOB Fashion icon Domenico Dolce turns to photography and spotlights his most Italian of interests, soccer. Domenico Dolce rose to international stardom as half of the famous design team behind Dolce & Gabbana, but the passionate Italian has recently turned his creative eye to photography. His subjects: soccer players, both fresh and iconic. Campioni, Dolce's first book, highlights 67 soccer players shot against stark white backgrounds. "I wanted to pay tribute to the strength and innocence of these players at the same time," he says. The striking studio set-up allows for a strong sense of connection between Dolce and his subjects through glances or barely perceptible gestures. Stefano Gabbana, his longtime partner, says, "In Domenico's photos, fashion and sport meet and confront themselves. They talk about style and male aesthetic. They speak to the heart." E rmenegildo Zegna built his men's clothing empire on the belief making scents that a great suit must be made from the best fabric. Located in Trivero, in the Italian Alps, Ermenegildo Zegna's century-old wool mill produces some of the most outstanding, high-quality yarns in the world. The most elite among them is the ultra-fine Vellus Aureum, which is offered once a year to invited customers in its raw form as sixty limited pieces. This remarkable wool is then woven and finished to each client's tastes and desires and made into a priceless custom suit, with the finish- ing touch being the client's name embroidered into the label. Non Vellus Aureum-toting customers should also put their faith in Ermenegildo Zegna's expert tailors, who help clients choose from 700 fabrics, patterns, and colors for custom suiting and shirting. Made to Measure comes in three lines, including the modern Milano, the sophisticated Torino, and Couture for a distinctly Italian style. The process of ordering a suit takes four to five weeks, requires two fittings, and is available through any Ermenegildo Zegna boutique in the world. I n what may be his most personal scent offering to date, Tom Ford captures the duality of sensuality and strength in Noir. Inspired by the contrast between a man's masculine exterior and more complicated inner layers, the elixir is complex and enticing. Noir's standout notes are bright Italian bergamot, the velvety spice of black pepper, and leathery styrax for a woody finish on the dry down. The long-lasting aroma is perfect for late nights out on the Strip. Crystals, CityCenter, 702-740-2940
