INVITED MFA'S #MFANOW OVERNIGHT LAUNCH PARTY Nearly 7,000 people attended the Museum of Fine Art's #mfaNOW Overnight: Launch Party, the first of four. Crowds began lining up at 5 PM and didn't wane until after 3 AM. The party featured exhibition openings for "UH-OH: Frances Stark 1991-2015" and Christian Marclay's "The Clock," live graffiti painting outside by MerkThose, music and sound performances by Substructure, food trucks, drawing in the galleries, and even 3 AM "Insomniac Olympics" under the moonlight in the MFA's Calderwood Courtyard. WINE AND WISHES 2016 Make-A-Wish ® Massachusetts and Rhode Island hosted more than 300 guests at the UMass Club in Beacon Hill in support of its Wine and Wishes event. Former New England Patriots player Matt Light and Fox25 news anchor and reporter Vanessa Welch emceed the event and energized the crowd with a live auction and raffle to help grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Wish-children Gabriel and Brooklyn were among the evening's honored guests, as well as Wish-dad Paul Blaney, who shared the inspiring story of his son Connor's wish to have a treehouse.
