The former child actors turned best-selling musicians, who met on the set of Disney Channel's smash-hit film Camp Rock nearly 10 years ago, have remained confidants and collaborators throughout their rollercoaster ride to superstardom. Now the cofounders of their own label, Safehouse Records, the duo will hit the stage at MGM Grand Garden Arena in August for the Vegas installment of their co-headlined Future Now tour, a cross-country extrava- ganza supporting Lovato's Safehouse-released fifth studio album, Confident, and Jonas's latest effort, Last Year Was Complicated, which debuted in June. Before landing in Vegas— where some of their favorite hangouts include SW Steakhouse, XS, Hakkasan, and Shadow Creek Golf Course—we chatted with Jonas and Lovato, both 23, about balancing friendship with creative success.
