He was recently named one of 14 Ocean Heroes by the National Geographic Society, and this year he produced the first 3-D film about Antarctica. Reading the stories of Jack jared bowen J London and Ernest Hemingway and wanting to see the remote corners of the world. ared Bowen is an Emmy-winning reporter with WGBH-TV's nightly news program Greater Boston, along with Emily Rooney. He also appears regularly on 89.7 WGBH, is the editor of online arts journal WGBH Arts, and serves on the Board of Governors for the Boston/New England chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Bowen began his career at Dateline on NBC in New York and is a graduate of Emerson College. In this issue: Bowen took a peek behind the scenes of Boston Ballet's The Nutcracker to see the production's newly designed sets and costumes. How many times have you seen The Nutcracker?
