Guests, including Simone Winston and Wendy Shattuck and event cochairs Julia Owens and Julie Hume-Gordon, enjoyed a seated lunch and a fashion show of event sponsor Akris' spring collection. The 9th Annual Party in the Park will be held on May 16. The event raised $95,000 to support the non-profit organization, which develops and implements programs that prepare urban schoolchildren for educational opportunities that lead to college success. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception sponsored by Gloria Ferrar and then dessert and dancing to Flipside.
