Trend alk WHATS NEW THIS SEASON Juy Stein Swimwear Association of Florida Instagram: @safswimshow — 27.8k followers 2018 FASHION FORECAST The renovations of the Miami Beach Convention Center have been challenging as any great renovation project is; however once the facility is complete it will be a state of the art venue that is not only an excellent representation of SwimShow, but an incredible vehicle for the city and its international business. Most anticipated, is the return and the expansion of THE COLLECTION,a curated, polished fashion environment designed as a tradeshow within the tradeshow, featuring the best high-end, progressivebrands and directional, independent de- signers. Created tohighlight each individual brand's identity with an emphasis on the look and craftsmanship of the product, what is consistent about each of the juried show's participants is the superior level of aesthetic, style, and fi t. Due to overwhelming demand, we have increased both the number of participants and the allocated space for this year's collection area. Buyers will have an opportunity to engage with brands in a one-on-one intimate environment that will allow them to garner personal insight into the collections. They will also enjoy VIPamenities within the beautifully encased luxury oasis including champagne butler service, a luxurious lounge area, and free access to wi-fi (alsoavailable throughout thetrade show.) The entire show this year is really going to be electrifying. Every sample we've received, every lookbook, each brand has been telling a new story and it feels as though there is a buzz of creative energy that has infused the industry in a new and unprecedented way. As producers of this phenomenal event, we are looking forward to the July tradeshow with anticipation so that our exhibitors can fi nally share these amazing collections with the international buyers, press and infl uencers! Mariana Downing Editorial model | Instagram: @marianadowningg – 55.9k followers How did you prepare for Ocean Drive magazine's "Swim Guide" photo shoot? I normally have my routine of working out and eating healthy, it is part of my career to always be in tiptop health. However, considering the privilege of being featured in Ocean Drive, I prepared extra hard by working out twice a day, eating only salads, and meditating to keep me relaxed and ready! How would you describe your summer/swim style? I would describe my summer swim style as easy going but sophisticated and very bright. I love long fl owing dresses and white and blue swim covers.I like to feel young but at the same time elegant. What are you most excited about for swim week 2017? I love swim week and the talented people it attracts — fashion designers, beautiful and handsome models, hair and makeup crew. It's a crazy, fun mess! Everyone works so hard to make everything perfect and its nice to be surrounded by such passionate people. I think this year I am most excited to walk down those runways! What do you love about Miami? I love that I am right next to the beach. I love the weather Miami vibes. It's super chill but a lot of fun! Miami is a special place to me, I have met the most spectacular people here and created the best memories! Hayley Denman Hayley Style | Instagram: @hayleystyle — 2k followers What was your vision for the 2017 'Swim Guide'? Red Carpet Swim Party, bring the glamour to the pool and or the beach. Accessorize your swimwear with hats, glasses, jewelry, and bags. The suits are so glamorous deep plunging necklines, embellished, lots of red. What was your favorite look from this year's shoot? My favorite look is the ru e bathing suit with the stripes and the pearls. I love the very feminine look but it's also rock star with the layers of the pearls. What would you consider to be the hottest fashion trend of the season? I love the feminine ru es on the suits. What is your go to summer accessory? I think you have to have a pair of slides! Mariana Downing: Photography by Danny Cardozo, Wardrobe styling by Danny Santiago, Hair and Make up by Euri Martin at Creative Management. Alexandra Grief Designer of Montce Swimwear Instagram: @montce_swim — 233k followers What is your must-have beach essential? A bikini or one-piece that you feel great in and a super simple and cute go-to coverup dress (easy to throw on and go). What is your favorite piece in the 2017 collection? I think it would have to be the Emma Floral Prima Ru e Top and Emma Floral High Rise Bottom. I am also really obsessed with mixing Tan Suede, Dusty Rose and even Gingham from previous collections in with the new summer Emma Floral print. What's your favorite swim trend this summer? I am loving all of the fun sleeve details and all of the fl orals right now! How do you get inspired to develop new collections each season? I always feel I need to travel more and work less to really get inspired and also somehow magically have more time to design each collection, but in real life I have to crunch and I think I am always inspired by color and print initially. From there, I gather my new sketches and designs, take a look around to see whats going on, and then decide what's next.
