What was the inspiration for your 2017 collection? Jantzen has always had a jet set fl air to it and this season we've been very inspired by 1970's Morrocco. When designing, do you have pool or beach in mind? The beauty of our swimwear is that we're more focused on how women feel in our suits, as opposed to specifi cally where they will wear it. What is your must-have beach essential? A fabulous cover up, like our "Wow Factor" chi on caftan. What is your suit of choice: bikini, one-piece, or monokini? I'm personally very into one pieces at the moment. I love when they can make you feel sexy and confi dent at the same time. What do you love about Miami Beach? Miami Beach holds a very special place in my heart. I was born and raised here. That drive over the Julia Tuttle Causeway toward the beach always gets me, along with the architecture and the food! My favorite Cuban restaurant on 41st St. is always the very fi rst place I hit up whenever I come back to town. I also love the Miami Beach art scene. I was raised by artists and saw fi rst hand how it has evolved since the 80's. It has been a big creative infl uence and has played a big part in who I am today. Which current swim trend has been the easiest to include in your wardrobe? High necks. I love that this trend is continuing for swim. It's dramatic and fl attering for almost every body type and it also happens to be great for running around after a 3 year old at the pool or beach! We recently launched Canvas by Lands' End™ and this new line features a great selection of women's swimwear with a more youthful and fashion- forward design aesthetic. The swim assortment was inspired with an All- American theme and the styling is carefree, whimsical and feminine. The prints were inspired by the most iconic American symbol — the American fl ag — with a focus on stars and stripes. When designing, do you have pool or beach in mind?
