Invit ed gold standard C hopard celebrated the opening of its Wynn Las Vegas boutique in the grandest of ways. The guest of honor, who is as internationally renowned as the brand itself and boasts the resident Vegas show The Million Dollar Piano, Sir Elton John, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. A new extension of the Elton John Watch Collection, which the iconic musician codesigned, was exhibited at the event. Caroline Scheufele, Chopard's copresident and artistic director, hosted the ultra- private soirée, and Hollywood's favorite redhead and Mad Men star Christina Hendricks attended, wearing a black gown lit up by signature Chopard pieces. John's husband, David Furnish, and Watchmen actress and model Malin Akerman were also on hand. The Swiss watch and jewelry house's 800-square-foot shop joins other top luxury retailers inside Wynn and will house haute joaillerie and finely crafted time- pieces from which it built its fame.
