First introduced in 1938 alongside Hermès's famed riding jacket, the Chaîne d'Ancre has long been a symbol of the design house's timeless sophistication. Now linked into several rows of interlocking chains, the iconic design strikes contemporary appeal as it's reinterpreted in the intricate design of the Océane bracelet. The subtle rose gold exudes a delicate femininity, while the black-rhodium plating and connective links ensure the diamonds sparkle as they move seamlessly with the slightest flick of the wrist. I ts signature brown and white stripe has been familiar to New Yorkers since 1895, but lately Henri Bendel's famed look is getting as much play on the Strip as it does on Fifth Avenue. The retailer recently introduced its iconic brand to Las Vegas with a long-awaited store inside Fashion Show mall modeled after its Manhattan flagship, while this month trendsetters clamoring for all things Bendel will also enjoy a second location at The Forum Shops at Caesars, set to open November 15. Both will cater to a "trendy, cheeky" clientele, says Chris Fiore, presi- dent of Henri Bendel. "If she's a jewelry customer in Fashion Show and a handbag customer in The Forum Shops, I will adjust the assortment," he says. "But it's glitzy, girly, blingy, and glittery, and the price points are very accessible." The stores' custom-made chandeliers set a luminous tone for the array of must-haves, which include handbags, jewelry, leather goods, bridal accessories, beauty products, travel essentials, gifts, and more than 40 home scents. "Vegas is kind of its own little category, because [the customer] is so transient," Fiore says. "It is the only city in America besides New York that can really boast that whole mix of a customer." LAS VEGAS ISN'T ONLY ABOUT THE GLITZ and glam that accompanies its action-packed nightlife—the vast, natural desert that surrounds our city also serves as an idyllic daytime backdrop for a vibrant equestrian community. Whether you're inclined to wander the trails of Red Rock Canyon or simply prefer betting on the races from your favorite sportsbook, Gucci's newest collection proves to be enviable fodder for any horseback-riding enthusiast. Drawing inspiration from the equestrian clientele that has favored the label since the 1930s, the Italian luxury house finds itself inspired by the sport once again, as Creative Director Frida Giannini recently developed a custom wardrobe for Edwina Alexander, the world's current number-one female horse jumper, into a full ready-to-wear collection. Riding jackets, shirts, polos, and pants in tones of white, beige, black, and blue are reinvigorated with the Gucci crest and signature green-red-green stripe for an evolved, modern take on the classics. As no true rider can be prepared without the proper accoutrements: Black leather riding boots ($1,250) decorated with the house's signature horse bit, a velvet riding cap, and an extravagant saddle complete the collection.
