Homeowners are increasingly seeking lavish lavatories with spalike comforts, including towel warmers, soaking tubs, heated floors, and saunas. Bathtime at home can now be a sensual delight with surround-sound music and flat-screen televisions, along with aroma- therapy and the use of mood-enhancing colors, also known as chromatherapy. "Today, people spend more time in their bathroom than the dining room or living room," says Rob Jenson, founder and CEO of Jenson Group Luxury Real Estate (thejensongroup.com). "Bathrooms are a stay-at-home sanctuary. It's all about atmosphere." One local homeowner heats up the bathroom with a glass-wall fireplace, while another has a built-in salon for a personal stylist.
