An anonymous donor matched the amount for the endowment. As guests enjoyed cocktails and a buffet dinner, the two $165,000 three-year DKR Research Sponsorship grants were awarded to researchers Lenora J. Volk at UT Southwestern Medical and Andreana Haley at UT. Austin attorney Becky Beaver was given the Hidden Hero Award. Guests were serenaded by Grammy winners Paul Overstreet and Brett James and Nashville greats Scotty Emerick and Wendell Mobley.
