BY SARAH FELDBERG To celebrate Red Rock Resort's 10th birthday in April, the Fertitta family invested $40 million in the west-side resort, debuting new restaurants, updating the sports book, and transforming the 25,000-square-foot spa into a one-of-a-kind wellness center. The new Spa at Red Rock by Well & Being, which revealed its makeover in the summer, is now a sanctuary inspired by mid-century California design with an outdoor "shower garden," a co-ed lounge, and a "mind-body studio" with floor-to-ceiling windows. The menu has also been totally reimagined: Think personalized programming, like facials created by Beverly Hills derma- tologist Dr. Harold Lancer (whose clients include Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian) and the NASA-developed Bod Pod, a diagnostic device that delivers full body composition measure- ments. Follow that up with a workout consultation or nutritional advising—perhaps a cooking class in the demo kitchen—or something more daring, like working on your warrior pose suspended from the wall in a vertical yoga class. Spa Managing Director Stephanie Doud envisions the resort becoming the Miraval of Vegas, and drawing customers from the tourist corridor: "The fact that we're so close to nature means it's a much more relaxing experi- ence than down on the Strip.
