AMBER D'AMELIO So many Boston transplants come here for education, but Amber D'Amelio came for love. She met her husband, Mike, then moved herself and her daughter across the country from Los Angeles. She has spent the past two years exploring all the city has to offer and getting schooled in the fashion event business. Age: 46. I love Boston: For its ease in walking about, great authentic restaurants, and rich cultural history. I'm most proud of: My daughter, Chelsey—I marvel at the beautiful young adult she has become. My beauty phi- losophy: Makeup should enhance what you have, not conceal who you are. Causes closest to my heart: PETA; supporting the integra- tion of youth with intellectual disabilities; and assisting and creating new opportunities for battered and abused women. Would want my eulogy to be: She was a loving wife and mother, authentic to the core, who enhanced the world around her in meaningful ways. This decade: I want to help bring major events to Boston to advance the city as a hub for fashion. Go-to beauty brand: Vincent Longo lip stain, because I can kiss my husband and not leave lipstick all over him. Beauty black book: Ashley Brecken at Salon Marc Harris. BC beauté: Dahlia Noir Body Milk, Givenchy ($51). Saks Fifth Avenue, The Shops at Prudential Center, 617-262-8500; saks.com. Pure Color Lipstick in Wanted, ck one ($16). Ulta, 15 Mystic View Road, Everett, 617-381-0040; ulta.com. Skin Base Foundation in 08, Illamasqua ($42). Sephora, The Shops at Prudential Center, 617-262-4200; sephora.com. Hydrating Styling Cream, Moroccanoil ($32). Roffi Salon & Day Spa, 134 Newbury St., 617-536-9600; roffisalon.com beautiful bijoux: 18k yellow-gold and amethyst earrings, Elizabeth Gage ($10,500).
