style file Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique, at The Forum Shops Las Vegas's first one bellissimo bag Dior debuts the purely elegant Diorissimo. If you're a fan of the iconic Lady Dior, get ready to meet her chicly minimalist sister: Diorissimo, a modern update with traditional undertones. The just-launched handbag by Dior boasts streamlined styling, with top handles inspired by the Lady Dior, while those iconic charms take on new, more rounded proportions. A detachable pochette inside stores small items, or use it as a quick clutch. Offered in more than 10 color and fabric combinations (prices start at $3,800), each Diorissimo takes two days to complete, with two pieces of contrasting leathers stitched together and then turned inside out, allowing the bag to achieve its ultra-clean lines. on the marc ROBERT DUFFY BRINGS THE KITSCH WITH THE DEBUT OF MARC BY MARC JACOBS AT THE FORUM SHOPS. A look from Marc by Marc Jacobs's Spring/ Summer 2012 collection "V egas is so crazy with its windows," says Marc Jacobs president Robert Duffy, pointing to his company's contribution to this idea: a statue of a life-size neon-pink elephant, which graces the storefront display of the city's first Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique, at The Forum Shops at Caesars. "It's for luck, like you'd see in Thailand or India," he says. Duffy was on hand for the store's mid- April opening (the second for the brand in Las Vegas; a Marc Jacobs collection store is also installed at The Forum Shops), and judging from the early reaction of customers, little luck will be required. "We didn't do any big announcement or party because there was no reason—we had an amazing [opening] day," he says. The Marc by Marc Jacobs label is always a great amalgam of young-meets-fun-meets-chic. This 3,060-square-foot space is no exception, featuring everything from a wall of handbags in Day-Glo colors to the casually elegant men's and women's separates, to kitschier items like limited-edition skateboard decks ("We sold 12 of them in the first hour") and Vegas-exclusive belt buckles—even fuzzy dice in genuine mink. "I like to make Marc by Marc an adventure, with little things hid- den in the corners," Duffy says, adding that with summer comes another exclusive. "I did a whole line of bikinis just for Vegas. Other stores have vintage-like pieces, but people in Vegas like bikinis and sunglasses." STATuARy SeeMS TO SpROuT in Las Vegas like cacti in the surrounding desert, which should make the latest introduction from Bulgari feel right at home: the house's B.zero1 ring, which a dozen years after its debut is now being crafted with marble as its centerpiece. The B.zero1 has been splashed with treatments ranging from ceramic to gemstones to pavé diamonds and offered up in rings, pendants, and even men's cuff links, each in the house's signature Tubogas styling, the spiral-like design first introduced by Bulgari in the 1950s. Married with rose gold, this latest version is crafted in three varieties of marble: green bowenite, lapis blue, and tobacco brown (priced at $1,150 each). Not unlike the statues of Venus, David, pegasus, and the myriad Greek and Roman gods occupying the Strip, the effect of this B.zero1 is nothing less than timeless.
