Few other times of the year are temperate enough to truly enjoy an outdoor meal, so we take advantage while we can. One of this season's loveliest new patio additions is Herringbone at Aria, celebrity chef Brian Malarkey's second Vegas restaurant after Searsucker in Caesars Palace, both developed in partnership with Hakkasan Group. Designed by Toronto firm Studio Munge—whose team is also responsible for the interior environments at Alibi Ultra Lounge, 1 OAK Las Vegas, and Lago by Julian Serrano, among other Strip hot spots—the coastal-casual space complements Malarkey's ocean-to-table menu (think whole-branzino ceviche and crab-cake poppers) with both an interior lounge and a 5,500-square-foot patio accented by covered cabanas and palm-framed views of Aria's pool deck. "We wanted Herringbone's patio to be oasis-like—a peaceful retreat organized around a quiet water feature and protected by a contemporary architectural canopy," says Alessandro Munge, the studio's principal. "We kept it all very light and fresh in the material selection; the comfortable lightwood lounge seating paired with playful patterned accent cushions and lush landscaping add that sought-after residen- tial feel." We'll meet you on the patio. Aria, 702-590- 9898; aria.com . Beachy Keen Herringbone's breezy interiors and lush poolside patio bring california cool to vegas. "We love to design emotive spaces, so it alWays starts With the guest's experience in mind." — alessandro munge 114  vegasmagazine.com Space Debut
