Brain Trust Lisa Genova and samantha Landino Lisa Genova (left) is a New York Times best-selling novelist and a neuro- scientist, with a bachelor's degree in biopsychology from Bates College and a PhD from Harvard. Her first novel, Still Alice, was adapted into a movie, garnering Julianne Moore an Oscar as best actress for her portrayal of a woman with early-onset Alzheimer's disease.
