Creative leadership comes naturally for the Streeterville resi- dent, who also serves as the design chief for global advertising juggernaut Leo Burnett and recently headed up the team that created the identity for the city's inaugural Fifth Star Awards. As she prepares for This Is Chicago's winter release and looks ahead to another full slate in the new year, this Advertising Age "Woman to Watch" reveals some of the places around the Windy City that get her creative juices flowing. "I live fairly close to the lake, right around the cor- ner from the Mies van der Rohe buildings at 860–880 Lake Shore Drive. I love those buildings, but I also love that right next door there is a more classical set of mid-rises. I enjoy looking at things that are a bit of a mismatch of styles. "My husband and I have been going to Lula Cafe (2537 N. Kedzie Blvd., 773-489-9554; lulacafe.com) for the past 15 years. They take really simple, beauti- ful, farm-to-table food and make an art of it. There's a trout scramble that I get with sourdough toast and Mismatched architecture, modern design, good food, and live music are integral to Alisa Wolfson's Chicago.
