The annual event raised more than $1.6 million for vital patient programs this year and has raised $20 million in the past 14 years. Proceeds from this year's event are earmarked for emergency and trauma services within MGHfC, including the opening of a newly renovated Pediatric Emergency Department in 2014. Designed by longtime Storybook Ball partner Rafanelli Events, this year's gala presented a whimsical tribute to the beloved children's book Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson, and featured a live auction, luxury game booths, dinner, and dancing.
