In fact, when she fell in love with a man (not a town) named Andrew, the couple was married at the Stowe Mountain Lodge, just steps away from the condo that Alicia had bought the year before and the property's 18-hole wilderness golf course. It was too early in the season to ski that morning, but golf was a full-on go. "It was flurrying, but we still played, all of us in winter hats and gloves," Tappe recalls.
