STYLE NICHE Full Spectrum LAS VEGAS LIGHTS UP WITH FALL'S MYRIAD COLORED GEMSTONES. BY ALEXANDRIA GEISLER T his season's jewels come in a rainbow of dynamic colors, and in Vegas the trend reigns supreme at Jeff White Custom Jewelry (410 S. Rampart Blvd., 702-220-9099; jeffreywhite.com), which specializes in one-of-a-kind designs. "We have more colorful pieces right now than we've ever had in our 20 years of business," says Danny White, Jeff's son and partner. "Lately I've been a big fan of prasiolite. It's reminiscent of sea glass. And the Pantone Color of the Year is emerald, so we have some really gorgeous emerald pieces, like an engagement ring with a three carat emerald and an oval tsavorite garnet ring." Most pieces have a custom design—"I get a project as far as it can go by machine, then my dad will finish it with a few custom details that can only be done by hand"—and the Whites recently debuted a rose- and white-gold collection finished with turquoise, Rose de France amethyst, and smoky quartz stones. "Bold colors look good on certain people, but I prefer lighter ones," Danny says. "Morganite is [another] one of my favorites. I love the way the light-pink stone looks with rose gold." Cast in a similar palette, Carelle's Caviar collection features pastel cabochons set in 18k gold. "Color attains an extraordinary intensity, brilliance, and luster," says designer Chana Regev. "Each one of my designs is an exploration in the vibrancy of colors." Available at Neiman Marcus (Fashion Show, 702-731-3636; neimanmarcus.com), the spherical pieces include a delicate pendant, an asymmetrical ring, and playful drop earrings. "The collection's liveliness mirrors the sparkle of Vegas," she says. "Jewelry is [about] storytelling, and we all know Las —DANNY WHITE Vegas results in terrific storytelling." For bolder accessories, Cartier (Wynn Las Vegas, 702-696-0146; cartier.us) pairs studs of lapis and chrysoprase with diamonds and yellow gold in its latest Paris Nouvelle Vague collection. The exclusive accessories are available for a limited time and include a green and blue stackable bangle and matching cocktail ring and an 18k pink-gold ring dotted with diamonds and sparkling pink sapphires.
