FROM THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF Assistant editor Emma Trotter, with whom I've worked on and off for seven years, attended our Sparkles event at Vdara with me. And once every four to eight weeks, I was his personal editor, trying to get just a few frothy paragraphs about our beloved town out of the magazine's business and numbers guy. Every issue, it was a variation on a theme, that Las Vegas is much more than a gambling mecca in the desert: It's also that indescribable feeling that anything can happen. Joe Vann, you've won. As I sadly say goodbye to my three years here at the magazine, that is the only thing that I can think of to write. Vegas the hormone, the feeling of excitement, the power of reinvention… will stay with me wherever I land next. And for that, I am eternally grateful.
