STYLE LIST girl about town Suzi Grgurich's personal evolution is bringing a style evolution to Vegas. B orn and raised in Las Vegas, Suzi Grgurich has spent the last several years living in Los Angeles, where she launched her private shopping business. After landing styling gigs for national advertising campaigns, fashion editorials, and celebrity clients such as Julianne Hough, George Clooney, and Patrick Dempsey, Grgurich is back in Vegas, bringing her expert fashion advice with her. In an exclusive interview, she talks about the city and divulges a few of her summer must-haves. You've styled for red carpet events, television programs, and top fashion magazines. Which of your past projects was a defining career moment for you? Last year, when I exclusively did trend reports for both People StyleWatch and E! Entertainment. It was gratifying to know that I was giving advice to millions of women who would be reading and watching. What made you decide to move back to Las Vegas? I grew up here, and my family is still here. My personal style came from growing up surrounded by the entertainment of this city, so it has shaped me as a stylist. Vegas has an old-school vibe that many women carry in them, including a whole new generation of young people. The social scene here is evolving so much right now that it's the perfect time to begin my 74 growth here. It is such a great time for women to see how easy it is to hire a shopper to help their look evolve, too. How does your personal shopping service work? I am the exclusive personal shopper for Wynn, so if a hotel guest requests the service, I take them shopping, or shop for them and bring the pieces to their room. I also work exclusively with the Cosmopolitan's Beckley Boutique to pull pieces out of the store for clients. It carries brands that no one else has! As for Vegas residents, I offer in-home consultations, where I create a photo file of looks from their existing wardrobes, go shopping for new pieces, and am on-call for events. For summer, what is one must-have piece at the top of your list for any Las Vegas woman? It's all about finding a great, bold black-and-white dress. Also, the new short suits are great. Everyone from Banana Republic to Gucci and Prada has beautiful sets. They're great for Vegas nights when the weather "dips down" to the 80s. And for the Vegas man? I love the idea of adding simple accessories: a fantastic tie clip, a bow tie, or a great new suede oxford. For the fashion-forward male, I'm all about the colored chino, cuffed with a lace-up oxford, and a fun button-up.
