ON THE TOWN RIGHT: A waitress explains how to order drinks on the iPad drink menu. BELOW: The restaurant's beef patties are cooked over an open flame. continued from page 68 was the best thing ever. You don't expect an airplane to serve the "best" cheeseburger. CA: No! That was the first place I tried a cheeseburger. And then, ever since, I've gone crazy. In-N-Out, Burger King, Wendy's: I had to try it all. You have to understand, my mom is a vegetarian, so I didn't really have meat in the house. You often cook for Ice at home. Do you make him burgers now? CA: I haven't made it that far. Since I grew up in a nonmeat family, I don't really know how to cook meat. Does he ever make burgers for you, now that you've started eating meat? CA: No, he doesn't cook. The microwave is his best friend. And he loves cereal. Do you eat before the show or after? MD: I actually try to eat a really big lunch anywhere between two and four o'clock. I try to eat more like a dinner portion. And then, usually right before the show, I might have something small, and maybe after the show I might have something little. But eating right before the show is never going to work. CA: When I first got out here, I wouldn't eat all day because I was so nervous about having a pooch or something on stage. So I was like, Okay, I'll wait until after the show. But after the show means one o'clock in the morning. So now I do like Michelle and eat a big lunch. MD: Then you have time to digest, and you're not starving. [The waitress arrives with Austin's Euro Burger, chicken burgers for DiTerlizzi and Caselton, truffle fries, and onion rings.] Why is this your favorite burger? CA: It has arugula and goat cheese. When's the last time you had a burger with goat cheese? I've never had it anywhere other than BurGR before. [Takes a bite] Look at that juice! Look at that juice! That's juicy right there! [Laughs and has a truffle fry] Are you a truffle fan? CA: Yes. But it's that spicy ketchup that's really the best thing here. How do you enjoy interacting with your fans when they come up to you? CA: When they sit me down in this restaurant, they're really good about putting me back in a corner, out of the way. Also, people are really respectful. They'll wait until you finish eating and then they'll ask for a picture. At the end of the day, they're coming to see the show, and I want them to know I'm personable.
