Benefiting Cirque founder Guy Laliberté's nonprofit, One Drop, which provides clean water to third–world countries, the spectacular night included a pre-party at Hyde, the show in Bellagio's "O" Theatre, and afterparty. The World Water Day event raised more than $5.3 million. Local celebrities showed their support, including Coco Austin, Criss Angel, Shania Twain, Claire Sinclair, Melody Sweets, Josh Strickland, and Oscar and Carolyn Goodman. Britney Spears, Michael Phelps, Pamela Anderson, and Jackie Evancho, who also sang, were in attendance as well.
